In keeping with the directions of the COAS to construct 10 schools every year, we are well on our way towards providing a better environment to all our schools.

Schools in Cantonment in AMWP

Unlike schools in Military Stations, schools in Cantonments were being denied this facility.   Five schools at Ferozepur, Jhansi, Mathura, Meerut & Dehradun (Clement Town) Cantonments have now been sanctioned this year.     In the meantime Scales of Accommodation has also been amended for inclusion of schools on case to case basis.   This would imply that schools in Cantonments are likely to be sanctioned at a faster pace.

Welfare Projects

Apart from our flagship college at Army Institute of Technology (AIT) Pune, we now have state of the art infrastructure for five of our colleges viz Dental College at Secunderabad, Law Collee at Mohali, Management College at Greater Noida, Hotel Management & Catering College at Bangalore and Medical College with ultra modern facilities at Delhi Cantt, which was inaugurated by Hon'ble Rakshamantri on 05 Jan 2009 in the presence of Smt Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister, Delhi Govt.   Smt Sheila Dixit even commented that she was proud to have this kind of infrastructure for a Medical college in Delhi.

Having completed three schools at Shankar Vihar, Sadar Bazar and Jalandhar, construction for Nursing college at Jalandhar has commenced this year.   Next on the anvil is the construction of Management college at Rajarhat, Kolkata and Army School at Bolarum for which the planning action has already begun.
